Professional Equipment

At SM&Y, we believe that the quality of our work starts with the tools we use. That's why we invest in top-of-the-line professional equipment designed to meet the demands of modern telecommunications construction. From aerial installations to underground fiber deployment, our fleet and machinery allows us to work efficiently, safely, and with precision-no matter the size or complexity of the job.

Bucket Trucks

Our fleet of well-maintained bucket trucks allows our crews to safely and efficiently perform aerial strand installations, pole transfers, and fiber or coax work at elevation. Each vehicle is equipped with advanced safety features and regularly inspected to ensure reliability in the field.

Directional Boring Machines

For underground installations where minimal surface disruption is key, our directional boring equipment provides a trenchless solution that's both accurate and efficient. We use this method for installing conduit beneath roads, sidewalks, and other sensitive areas without damaging the surface.

Missile (Boring) Machines

When space is tight or conditions are challenging, our missile machines offer a compact solution or short-run underground conduit installations. These pneumatic tools are ideal for residential or urban areas where precision is critical and digging is not feasible.

Fiber and Coax Splicing Tools

Our experienced technicians use industry-leading splicing equipment to deliver clean, high-performance connections. Whether it's new construction or maintenance work, we ensure your network is built to perform and built to last.

Support Vehicles & Tools

We also operate a range of support vehicles and equipment-including reel trailers, trenchers, locators, and safety gear-ensuring every crew is fully equipped for success on the job site.
